Our commitment
We collect only the information we need, use it only for the purpose you gave it, keep it no longer than necessary, and protect it with appropriate security. For the full detail of what we collect and why, please read our Privacy Notice.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you:
- The right to be informed about how your data is collected and used, which this notice and our Privacy Notice provide.
- The right of access to a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- The right to erasure(“to be forgotten”), so you can ask us to delete your data.
- The right to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- The right to data portability, to receive your data in a portable format.
- The right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on your consent.
Lawful bases for processing
We process your data under two lawful bases: your consent, given when you submit a form, and our legitimate interests in running our community and internship programmes. Where we rely on consent, you are free to withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
How to exercise your rights
To make any request, email us at [email protected] with a short description of what you would like. We will respond within one month, as required by law. There is normally no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity so we can be sure we are dealing with the right person.
Complaints
We would always prefer to resolve any concern with you directly, so please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
