Privacy notice.
This notice explains what personal information Crawley Muslim Network (CMN) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: 16 July 2026
Who we are
Crawley Muslim Network (“CMN”, “we”, “us”) is a community organisation based in Crawley, West Sussex, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us through this website. If you have any questions about this notice or how we handle your data, contact us at [email protected].
What information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us through our forms:
- Get in touch form: your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Internship application: your full name, email, phone number (optional), age, where you are based (optional), your ranked workstream preferences, relevant skills (optional), your reason for applying, and a CV if you choose to upload one.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is stored only in your own browser and never leaves your device.
How we use your information
We use your information only for the purpose you provided it, namely to:
- Respond to your enquiry or message.
- Assess and administer your internship application, and contact you about it.
- Keep a record of applications and enquiries for the running of our programmes.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are your consent (which you give by submitting a form and, for the internship, by ticking the consent box) and our legitimate interests in operating our community initiatives. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
How your information is stored and protected
Form submissions are stored securely in our database, and any uploaded CV is held in a private storage area, both provided by our hosting processor Supabase. Access is restricted to CMN organisers who need it. Data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages and internship applications only for as long as we need them for the purpose above, and no longer than 24 months, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. It is processed on our behalf only by the hosting provider that runs our website and database. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal data, including access, correction and deletion. These are explained in full, along with how to exercise them, on our GDPR & your data rights page.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
